My journey

I always feel like I'm on some sort of Journey- or my own Oddessy :) Every different season of my life brings a different area of growth!  Right now, I feel like I on a Journey of letting go! (Go a head and sing Morgan).  A totally freeing feeling. 

 A man at church shared his story of how his dad taught him to just give it all to The Lord! Everything! The little, the big, the hurt feelings, the happy feelings, good times, and bad times. Place them all in his hands! Trust him! Take the pressure of this life out of your grasp! Open those hands! Let it go - let him take it! There is freedom in this! When his father passed away, people came to this son and said- your dad was an amazing man- never really had any problems in his life. That son looked at the man and said- that his father had plenty of troubles- it just wasn't evident because he simply gave them all to The Lord ! May people say that of my life and my faith! What a legacy .

  I am so thankful for this truth: 

"Let go of your concerns! Then you will know that I am God! I rule the nations. I rule the earth." Psalm 46:10

Novemberish

I totally made bread in my crockpot! And it was so yummy!!!!It isn't very often I can claim a project as something I did! But here you go: chevron cuteness 

Oh and I made this for my kitchen incase people forget that's what happens in there😂😂😂I never forget this but sometimes my 6 year old does!

My super cute sister in law introduced theses bagels to me and now Jason and I are addicted ! Thanks and no thanks- heehee.

Peyton has taken up basketball on Saturday mornings and she simply loves it! Jason got her these cute kicks ! We all giggled as Jason was out helping and the coach told the girls to guard a dad and most of the girls ran to Jason . He is pretty cute ;);)

Just a few pins to share with you- a little step into where my heart is right now!

To my hunk

   Jason turned 34 yesterday. We love birthdays in this house! I truely believe it's a week long celebration ! My mom taught me this:) 

 We made our way up to Big Al's in Beaverton ! Such a coooool place! Jason wanted to watch his beloved Blazers on a huge screen with a big dr pepper and a yummy burger. He really is easy to please:) We then came home and got to go see our awesome, newly remodeled theaters ! http://tillamookcoliseum.com  Saw a great kids movie(cause that's what you do when you are a parent). Love being able to celebrate this man! 

Being married to this man for over 10 years causes me some reflection . Ladies- don't settle- truely ! Don't! I didn't date much (don't get me wrong, I was totally boy crazy) but The Lord placed him in my life in His perfect timing. This really challenges me to start praying for my kids spouses! I know my parents did this and I really believe that's how I ended up with Jason. Here are a few bits of advice I wanna share that I've learned and that I am working on:

*dont settle (yea, I already said that- but for real)

*Dont throw yourself little pitty parties (even in your mind because it's usually over stupid stuff and it gives you a bad attitude towards your super hard working man)

*prasie him

*encourage him

*stop complaining to him

*stop nagging( you aren't his mama)

*stop ragging on him to your friends

*pray for him

*let him hang out with his buddies 

*do what he wants to do

*watch what he wants to watch 

*figure out his love language 

*make him cookies

*SERVE him with a happy heart!

 *be selfless- really - stop thinking so much about yourself ALL the time 

 Our pastor used this quote a few weeks back and I thought it was so good and so practical .  

 "What if God designed marriage to make you Holy more than make you Happy?" The sacred marriage 

 And I really think this quote- being lived out- will reap happiness and joy. And a good marriage:)

Yuckyness

Yuckyness- do you ever have it? That feeling after you've compared yourself to someone else? Or been envious of something some has or does? I struggle with it. I never did til I was in my late 20's. That yucky feeling. It isn't a fun one and it's one I really try to get rid of pretty fast because if I let it stick around, it later turns to bitterness, complaining, and unhappiness.    My best go to is a list of verses that I have in the subject- because let's be honest- Gods word is the only cure. It's the only cure for any yucky sin that one struggles with.  

  Jason and I bought these handy little note card holders a while back and I've been filling  them with verses that I can carry with me in my purse. When I am struggling in the car or in the store or anywhere- I just grab it out and look up the verses that speak right to my issue!

 I resuntly was reading verses that said envy and bitterness can literally ROT the soul! It's serious business people! For sure something to address and take care of.  

Here is a verse that's been really great for me right now!

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but He will also provide to way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." 1 cor. 10:13 

  Praise The Lord for that! He will provide a way out of my temptation to envy or be bitter! I truely believe it's through his word and prayer!

    The other conclusion that I have come to is this: there is always gonna be someone better at things than you, prettier than you, skinnier than you, richer than you, more artistic than you( and in my case that is everyone - bwhahah), nicer than you, more liked than you, funnier than you, more giving than you, someone who had way better budgeting skills, ect, ect, and ect! And basically that's what makes us all so unique and allows us all to offer our own amazing talents !  I just wanna be the best me that I can be and that's enough :) Its good to be me❤️

I want candy

 Our house is stocked with candy right now- and though most of you think this is a bad thing- I think it is quite wonderful. I totally believe in a little bribing with my kids and it's pretty amazing what they will do for a snack sized snickers bar;) 

Thankfully, I don't have a major sweet tooth - so the candy is safe for continued bribing, probably til Christmas! I may have to hide it from Jason though! 

 Pey chose to be a cat for the 4th time . Logan is a zombie football prayer "all star" from one of his favorite games.

The Nazarene church had a little carnival- Pey was able to have some teenage gals fix her mom's lame cat face;) We loved the final product. So cute!

Logan may go as his uncle MJ next year :)
