ahh...my sweet Logan. My life would be so boring without him in it.

Logan is the funniest boy. The conversations we have together, just crack me up!! He is so interested in a relationship with Jesus and how to get to heaven. Especially after his great papa charlie passed away. He will tell you the whole story, "papa's heart couldn't take it anymore and he is in heaven with jesus now...but he won't raise again like Jesus because he isn't all powerful like Jesus." He has told this story ALOT the passed few weeks.
Last week Logan was grounded all week from going anywhere fun....On Thursday he go to go to papa's shop with him and he was very excited. He yelled at the top of his lungs..." Papa...I was in time out for TWO weeks...and now I am not anymore."
Tonight I was praying with Logan before bed....as I was leaving his room after a sweet little kiss, he asked me..."Mommy...is "amen" Jesus last name? because we always say...in Jesus name...Amen." The child listens to every detail I tell ya.
Last week Logan didn't want to wear his shoes across the rocks...Jason told him he should or it will hurt his feet...he turned and said, "No daddy....I don't need shoes...I'm an Africa boy."
My brother Zach was struggling with kidney stones...I went to pick logan up from my parents and Logan had to inform me of this,"uncle zach has kidney stones in his tummy again...he woke up last night with issues." (picture a three year old talking SUPER fast saying this to me.) So funny.

All Dried up

FYI this blog may contain TMIF(To Much Information) for some of you. Sorry Dad:) But what do you expect. When I had my ovary removed I loved showing my scare off and if they would have given me my ovary in a plastic ziploc bag for keeps, I probably would have kept that in my purse to show off too:)

It's official! Peyton is officially weaned and I am officially empty! When Peyton turned 11 months I decided it was time! Jason and I get to go away this weekend for our anniversary and my parents will have our kiddos over night for two nights(Heaven help them). I figured that would be a perfect time to set my goal to have Peyton weaned. I, of course didn't wanna try and wean her over this weekend while my parents had her. Could you imagine? They never would have offered to have my kids again! I would have to pawn them off on my poor mother in law instead;)
So I had this routine set out. When I started weaning Peyton, she was nursing like 4- 6 times a day. Totally going through the night without it but she was loving it during the day. So I cut her back to two times a day for a few days and then to one feeding for a few days. My goal was to stop nursing her by the 15th but I ended a couple of days sooner because frankly, it was harder only let her have it one time a day because she wanted it more. I figured the best thing to do was to totally stop all together. So I did. And the next few days were really really hard. Peyton was way fussy over it and not a fan of mommy's "bright idea." And I, of course, was in pain, for various reasons...wink, wink.. And this time around(never experienced this with Logan at all) I had insomnia last week...ALL WEEK LONG. I couldn't fall asleep until like 3 or 4 am in the morning. Thank goodness my friend shared with me that she had the same thing happen when she weaned one of her children and that is was hormomal! PRAISE THE LORD because this Chica is one who needs SAAAALLLEEEP:)
Well today I am officially back to normal....Peyton has adjusted just fine and I am feeling wonderful!! My smaller shirts are even fitting again! A wonderful thing. Weaning Peyton(as it was with Logan) was so hard for me emotionally. It just means she is that much more growing out of the baby stage and soon to be a toodler. At the same time, my freedom is a nice thing as well. I am at a happy medium with it all.

Camping....Krista Style

I love the stage we are in with our kiddos. It's the stage were we love going out and about and doing things with them. Taking them to parks, to the beach, on hikes, on bike rides, on walks, to waterfalls, and to creeks. BUT, I also love that when we camp, we camp...IN OUR BACK YARD!!! Makes life so much nicer. Infact, I can't even claim to be a part of the camping experience. I use Peyton as my excuse to sleep in my warm bed, while Jason sleeps outside with Logan. I enjoy hanging out in the tent for a little while with Pey and Log and Jay but I am more them happy to skip back into the house. But Jason and Logan on the other hand, ADORE it. They were even able to share the tent with Collin one night and Gracie another night. Such a blast. Now all I need is a portable firepit and I don't think Jason will be able to get me to a REAL campsite ever again;)

He will be missed

Jason's Grandpa Charlie just passed away this evening. He was such a generous and kind man!
We captured these pictures with him in November. Peyton just wouldn't stop smiling at Papa Charlie! She just loved and adored him. Logan did as well.
We will miss Charlie very much!!
