What to do....What to do!?!?
This year Logan asked me if Santa was real. I've been trying to figure out what I was going to do about the whole "santa" thing this year. Growing up...I never was told he was real, nor did I ever believe in him. And to be 100% honest...I never missed it and I still don't. Coming into parenting, I never even THOUGHT about the whole 'santa' thing. How will we deal with it with our kids? Never even crossed our minds...but then...BAM...we were in that stage with Logan. Last year we played along and had a gift from 'santa' under the tree.
This year...this year is different. I knew that as soon as Logan asked me if Santa was real, I was going to be honest with him. So this year it came up....we were in the car, driving to swim lessons, and Logan asked, "Mommy, is Santa real?" I replied, "Logan....Santa is like spiderman, and batman, and Buzz. He is just on tv." He said, "Ok mommy." Nothing more really came of it that day. A few weeks later, we were in the car again. He called my name and said, " Mommy...I know Santa is real...I just know it." I told him my little speech from the week before, and he said, " but mommy...who else could bring all those presents to all those kids on Christmas eve?" He said it with such passion and innocents. I giggled a little and left it at that. I know his imagination is just going wild at the age.
We told Logan, that there was going to be "a Santa" at Subway this weekend if he wanted to go and see him. He of course did....so we packed up the kids and headed there this evening. He had a ton of fun seeing Santa. Totally believed it was the real one....cute to see his little eyes light up.
I figure we will just keep crossing these bridges as they come. I am not against Santa...obviously because we went to visit him and I know its all in fun. But I just don't want Logan to ever think we are telling him "stories" about the one that really does matter on this holiday. Jesus Christ. He isn't a pretend story. He is our Lord and Savior. I never want my children to ever forget that...this is what Christmas is all about!
I don't think it will be long til he gets the picture. Logan seems to be a pretty deep kid..it's fun to watch his little mind at work. Peyton was a doll and actually hung out with Santa for a while until the next kid came in. No screaming from our little one year old;) Though I was worried that she wouldn't give Santa back his cute little stuffed doggy. We kept asking her to put it back in his bag and she would look at me and snuggle it closer to her. Little cutie.

The Christmas gift that keeps on giving, everyday
As long as I have been married, my husband has given me this gift that means the world to me. He never complains, never argues, he looks at my eyes and knows just what I have planned for when he arrives home from work:)
Jason has always be amazing about letting me work out! He knows it has always been a passion and sad to say, obsession of mine. I just hope he knows how much it means to me and how special he makes me feel every time he drops whatever he is doing to let me go jog or use my elliptical. Thanks JASON!!! I appreciate you more then you know!

Our Little Monkey and Our Big Fish
So, I have a sneaky and quiet little STINKER in my house. Peyton is sooooooo BUSY...her biggest thing right now is carrying around her little diego chair, putting it up against the couch, or lazy boy and climb up on them. I've tried hiding her chair so that she will just use her stepping stool, but she keeps finding her CHAIR! ECK!
She also loves to PUSH the kitchen table chairs over to the counters and pull out stuff out of my drawers and play with dishes in the sink! I've also caught her trying to climb up our little side table trying to reach our laptop to type some emails to her friends;) So lovely! I am CONSTANTLY pushing the chairs back in, under the table in hopes that she can't move them back out....but she always does;)
At the Doctor's office the other day, she decided to be a MONKEY and climb on the window ledge. I couldn't help but smile at that one.(notices the top picture)
LOGAN has been in swim lessons for 2 months now. He is officially swimming half of his swim lessons without a back pack and his teacher Donna moved him up to the second level class! We are so proud of our Logan and how hard he is working!
OKAY...enough mommy bragging:)

Rekindling an Old Flame.
I know, I know...I've already posted this picture...yes...this is twice in a less then 10 days....I am a little bit obsessed...just ask my man;) I am so happy that I started reading again. It's been since college that I could stand to read any kind of book. Text books WORE ME OUT!!. I had always loved reading before that. I am so excited to be back in the game!
I JUST FINISHED "BREAKING DAWN"!!!!!!! These books are what have consumed my "9:30-11Pm" for the last three weeks! I started Twilight just before Thanksgiving and just finished the final book tonight. Thank you Stephenie Meyer for pulling me away from the boob tube for the last three weeks. The only show I've watched was the Biggest Loser Finale. Yeah for Brain Power:):) Now if I can only stand the wait for New Moon to come out on DVD and Eclipse to hit Theaters. June 30th is so far AWAY!!!!!!! Though don't be alarmed if you hear the I am reading them all again next week:) (p.s. I am rather excited that I have a good Edward read from my sister in law Sarah....think I will start that tonight:):) )

She is quite irresistible already
I was picking up Logan from Awanas on Wednesday and I let Peyton down to play in the little cry room while they were closing. My sweet friends little boy Gaven(11months old) ran in after her to play. I hear a little bang and so I go to check on them and little Gaven has Peyton up against the wall with his arms around her kissing her. She was just standing there taking it! I think we have quite the little flirt on our hands. She is already irresistible at age 15 months. I think her daddy is going to have his hands full with this little one.

These are a few of my Favorite things....
Last week Peyton, Logan, and I went to Colorado for a week. Jason stayed home and I missed him so much!! U would think that Jason and I had just started dating the way I missed him. I am so thankful that God gave me this amazing man and I am thankful that after nearly 7 years, I am still just as head over heals and MORE for him. He was a busy beaver while we were gone. He DID a ton of projects!! And when I arrived home my house was SUPER clean, all the dishes were done, and he even did his laundry!(thanks Laurie) It just meant the world to me that he had the house looking amazing when I came home! THANKS HONEY!!!
He surprised me and reorganized our closet!! These pictures don't do it justice in the least but our closet looks AMAZING!!!
He's had this planned for a few months and it was super fun to get to see his ideas come to life! Now I just need to get rid of a some clothes...SHESH. I own a lot.
This summer my sister in law Rechelle, Jason, and I decided it would be fun to rent Twilight. I had no idea what it was going to be about and so I went into it thinking it was just going to be some other movie. Well...Rechelle and I both got HOOKED!!! When New Moon was coming out, I wanted to see it sooooooo badly. But I really couldn't get anyone to go with me to the Midnight showing.(I am crazy like that). The week I had asked the ladies to come with me, Rechelle got Morgan, Sue, and Debbie to watch the movie with her. Now, they too are Twilight Junkies;) Soooo...I was able to get Sue, Rechelle, and Morgan to go with me to the Midnight showing and BOY oh BOY was it worth it. I liked it so much, that I took Jason to it the other night. I loved it as much the second time if not more. Jason enjoyed it too. Plus I read New Moon which made it fun to catch things that I hadn't the first time.
I had started reading Twilight a day before I went to see the midnight showing of New Moon. I decided around half way through Twilight that I needed to get all of the books. I loved it so much!! I couldn't put it down. So, on my trip to Colorado I found some AWESOME deals and now own all the books. I just finished Eclipse last night and and started Breaking Dawn! Such a good and easy read. I am really enjoying them and I think I will start reading them again when I am done. Though I have a couple Mary Higgins Clark Christmas books that I want to read and then I ordered "The Blindside" super cheap on Cyber Monday:)I am so thankful that I am loving reading again. It's so much better then TV!
How could I not add my two little favorite things. These two kids are such a blessing. I am so cherishing both of the stages they are in. Logan is really a sweet brother to Peyton. He plays very well with her and gets her giggling like crazy. They like to chase each other around the house. Cracks me up. They sure love each other.
Logan is really getting good at swimming and he loves his lessons. And he is getting so good with his letters too. The other day he looked at my headband and it had a R and L on the inside, then he stated, "Mommy...what is the R and L for?" I was super impressed and happy he is recognizing his letters.
Peyton is my little singer bird. She seriously walks around the house humming and singing all day long. I think it shows she has a happy heart:) She also climbs on top of everything and is really proud that she can now get on the couch by herself and get down with ease. She has 4 more teeth coming in and they aren't bothering her at all. She has started giving Jason and I think HUGE teeth grin with a crinkled up nose. It melts my heart every time she does it.
These are a few of my favorite things for the moment.......thanks for stopping in.
