We are enjoying our last few weeks of summer! Though I have to say, I LOVE FALL! I love the smells, the colors, the pumpkin hunting, the cornmaze going, candy corn, and the beautiful leaves the fall all around us. I started up my spiced orange harvest scentsy this week and Logan put up our Pumpkin windows stickers, just to get us in the mood.
BUT....for that last few days, we have been outside enjoying the warmth. We've been going to the park, jumping on the trampoline like CRAZY, going on bike rides, and playing with our Fred Meyer clearance Summer items! They were having AMAZING deals last week. I enjoy spending my $30 on a TON of fun stuff and cute clothes for the kids.
Logan is going to be 4 in a few weeks. Which, I can hardly believe. He went with me for a ride in the truck tonight and I was realizing what a little man he is now. He told me stories the whole ride and kept saying, "I like checking for buckets with you mom." He is doing many new things too! He is learning to write his name (which is a work in progress...we decided to work on one letter at a time, heehee) and he loves singing that alphabet with Daddy. Next week Awana starts up and in October or November he starts his first swim lessons!! I am super proud of what a great kid he is turning into.
Peyton is a DOLL!!! She is walking, SLASH THAT...RUNNING every where these days. She always wants to be with Logan and it is sweet to see how kind they are with each other. Both of them loves giving each other kisses. She points at everything she wants, which is a new thing for her. It is fun to know what she is thinking for once. She also finally has TWO teeth breaking through. One on top and one on the bottom and the others look like they are coming through soon as well. Our little princess is doing so many new things and her little giggle just warms our heart!
Happy Fall and So long to the end of summer!

So much faith, so much heart
My mom and dad have been through so much these past 3 years. 3 years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through a MAJOR surgery and chemo for a year. Probably the toughest year of my mom and dad's life. But through it all, I saw my Mom's faith in the Lord grow stronger and stronger. Infact, I think my mom was more concerned about us and Logan, then she ever was about herself.
A month ago, my mom had a little piece of skin removed from her face. She takes every bit of care for herself now, wants everything to be checked out and doing good. When you go through something like Breast cancer, it makes you see how quickly something can spread and how deadly it really can be. My mom was so lucky they caught her breast cancer in time and we thank the Lord for that.
She had a biopsy done on the skin and they found that it was cancerous. Cancer caused from the sun. They need to either remove it or she needed radiation. After already doing Chemo for a year...she opted out and chose removal instead.
She had the surgery Tuesday morning and they had to go in 4 different times to get all the cancer. This was a super long day for my mom and my dad (and all of us). They have gotten all the cancer out, To GOD BE THE GLORY. Please be praying for my mom and that she will have a super fast recovery. As you can imagine, it's hard to hide this surgery from the world do to it being on her beautiful face but we trust that God is in Control and has a plan through all of this.
My mom is a super strong woman and I know that it is only because she trusts in the Lord with her whole heart. My mom is sure a wonderful example for me.

4 Beautiful Generations
This weekend, our church had our Old Fashioned Sunday. It was such a special time! My Grandma June, Grandpa Dennis, Aunt Kim, and Aunt Debbie as well as my Grandpa Jack and my Grandma Norma came down to help out and the sisters all sang together. For one song mom wanted Grandma June and I to sing with them. As we went up, my Grandma June said, "Bring Peyton...how special will that be?" And it really was. Peyton sang along with us with her sweet lil voice. It was such a special weekend. I soaked in all my family time.

What he'll do for a laugh.
My aunt sent this cute ballerina outfit to Peyton when she was born. A few weeks back, I found these cute wings. I thought for sure Peyton would look WAY cute in this for Halloween. WELL...she isn't to fond of it yet and just tries to rip it all off. So, Logan entertained us with pretending he was Tinkerbell the other night;) He was enjoying himself indeed.

So Long Sweet Summer
So long sweet summer, I stumbled upon you and gratefully basked in your rays. So quickly you came, so quickly you have gone away. *SIGH*

Small Town Hero

Doesn't my family live in such a beautiful area? We feel so blessed to be reminded of God's beautiful creation daily! This beautiful Cape of ours holds hidden dangers. Infact, it secretly attracts tourists in by it's beauty and makes them have NO common sense. There are many signs that say....DO NOT ENTER.....or DON'T GO PAST THIS FENCE. But people don't take heed and listen to the warnings. My dad has been the Chapeline fore the search and rescue here in the South County area for some time. Every year my dad gets called in 2-3 times, and is asked to let some family know about the death of their child/or relative. These deaths are due to crossing over this fence. Right when the area looks inviting, people either walk done into the coves or down to the rocks down low. Just when they think it's safe, a huge wave will come and wash them away. Most bodies are never found. They are swept under the rocks and the people either die from drowning, the cold water, or being hit against the rocks.
Well...my brother was able to save one of these tourists on Tuesday! Read the following article. It is such an awesome God story and we are so happy for the HAPPY ending. Another really cool part is the boy Zach saved, is a Christian. The Lord had his hand in the whole rescueing process! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!!! ZACH SAVES 17 YEAR OLD YOUNG MAN
I wish that they would put signs up that say.....YOU MAY DIE BY CROSSING THIS FENCE or MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED BY CROSSING THIS FENCE, DON'T DO IT. Or even put up all the names and crosses of the kids and adults who have lost their lives.
We are so thankful for the outcome of this event....hopefully others will hear the story and not cross over those lines.

It turned in to a wonderful Mommy day out!
Logan had his very first dentist appointment on Tuesday! SO we ventured out to Portland and Logan really did a wonderful job. The dentist says he has GREAT teeth! YEAH!!!
After that, I meet up with my good friend Jackie and we took the kids to Tacobell and a really neat park by her house! There was another mom there making balloon swords for all the kids. Logan LOVED IT. It was so wonderful catching up with Jackie. Jackie's husband has be diagnosed with kidney failure and has had to start dialysis in his home and at work. It has been a super crazy first year of marriage for them...new jobs, bought a house, and dialysis. Josh's brother will donate his kidney soon , he is a perfect match. Jackie said that Steve has dreamed of doing this for Josh since he was little, so that is amazing!!! Jackie and Josh really are a sweet couple. They remind me of Jason and I a lot:) So sad they live 2 hours away.
After Jackie's we headed to Washington Square Mall. MY FAVORITE MALL...not for the shopping but for the play area inside. This was Peyton's first time getting to enjoy it too!
We really had a wonderful day! I really enjoy being with my kids! They make my life so much fun!!
