Camping....Krista Style

I love the stage we are in with our kiddos. It's the stage were we love going out and about and doing things with them. Taking them to parks, to the beach, on hikes, on bike rides, on walks, to waterfalls, and to creeks. BUT, I also love that when we camp, we camp...IN OUR BACK YARD!!! Makes life so much nicer. Infact, I can't even claim to be a part of the camping experience. I use Peyton as my excuse to sleep in my warm bed, while Jason sleeps outside with Logan. I enjoy hanging out in the tent for a little while with Pey and Log and Jay but I am more them happy to skip back into the house. But Jason and Logan on the other hand, ADORE it. They were even able to share the tent with Collin one night and Gracie another night. Such a blast. Now all I need is a portable firepit and I don't think Jason will be able to get me to a REAL campsite ever again;)

He will be missed

Jason's Grandpa Charlie just passed away this evening. He was such a generous and kind man!
We captured these pictures with him in November. Peyton just wouldn't stop smiling at Papa Charlie! She just loved and adored him. Logan did as well.
We will miss Charlie very much!!

I love me so BBQ
My parents invited the whole Tillamook county Motsinger clan down for some yummy BBQ on Sunday! We had such a wonderful time! The weather was perfect and we all just enjoyed each other so much.
Mom and I also go our strawberry jelly done! I bought a flat and a 1/2 at our local farmers market. I got them from the Strawberry ladies, and let me tell you....they were the prettiest strawberrys I have EVER seen! Soooo yummy too. I had a blast making them all up and my freezing has us all stocked up for winter. I never realized how expensive it was to make homemade jellys and jams but OH it was soooo worth it!

Just like his daddy
So, I have NEVER been creative...Never. I can make some cute cards, make a mean batch of choc. chip peanut butter cookies, and scrub me a pretty looking toilet, but creativity...that is just not me. My husband on the other hand...He is soooooooooo creative. And you who know my Jason, know what I am talking about. When I first starting hanging around this Motsinger Family, I was always amazed at the things the boys would make up to keep themselves busy. Now, I know that my son is taking after them. I was watering our yard the other day and Logan runs in the the house and yells, " Mommy, I finally know how to use my Spiderman umbrella.." He grabs it and runs for the sprinkler. When it comes to summertime, I am usually all game for getting wet. Plus, it was so darn cute, who couldn't let him do it;) Peyton even wanted in on the fun.
Peyton and Logan have been soooooooooooo enjoying his little tent this summer. Inside and out...the giggles that those to give out....melts my heart.
