Switchfoot...you are still my Fav!

My little Logy woke me up early because he had to go potty....and I couldn't go back to sleep. So I decided it was time to fix up my little Music thing for my blog here. Figured it was time to change things up. I added a few of my favorite songs for right now. Then I decided to look up my all time favorite group, Switchfoot! As I poured through the music....I was brought back to a different time. You see, Switchfoot was one of the first groups I ever got super excited for! I will thank my brother MJ for that. We had gone to Jesus Northwest back when I was like 15 and MJ spent a TON of money on cd's for all these new Christian groups! Switchfoot was one of them....also among them was Skillet and Supertones!(which are also still some of my favs.) Being a pastor's kid, my parents were actually really cool about the music we got to listen too. They pretty much let us pick out whatever we wanted...as long as it was CLEAN and Uplifting! After many battles between my parents and MJ with music....we all picked out our favorites! Switchfoot was that band that we all loved!!! The words of their songs just touched my life!! I felt like every song was talking to me...like they could read my mind! They were my escape when I just couldn't do it anymore, when the pressure of this WORLD was to much....they were a cd I could just turn on and lay on my bed and escape to a different place too. During my times of searching....during the time that I made my Faith...truely My own. During times that I didn't think my parents and my brother would ever get a long....during times that I had a big crush on a boy and that boy didn't feel the same.....when I was so unbearably lonely at Frontier that I couldnt' stand it....when all my friends where dating someone, and I was all alone.....on snowy trips to Denver to get to the airport for a good friend of mine(good thing I did...since we now share brothers as husbands(lol))......Switchfoot was there. When I wasn't sure who I was, when I was searching for people to except me for me, when all my friends were partying and I was at home, doing nothing.....God blessed me with this wonderful escape to Switchfoot. It sounds sort of silly, and sorry daddy if this isn't biblical, heehee, but Switchfoot helped get me on Fire for Jesus. It made me want to get deeper in my relationship with my Savior! I am so thankful that my parents didn't hinder my music so much that I wouldn't have been able to find this group. They were my tunes!!!:) I am sure you all have a group like that. And YES...I have many more...but switchfoot is truelly the biggest music influence in my life:) I hope you enjoy some of their music when you come to my blog. If not...no biggy. They are just a little piece into me! Happy listening!

Few More Hoopfest Pics!

I couldn't resist, I had to add a few more Hoopfest pics!!! I did capture one pretty Lady:) This is the gang minus, Morgan and Anni, and Sarah and the kiddos!
I had to put this picture because I asked Reece to pose and he said he wanted to be under water for the pic:) Notice him in the back, under water;)

Logan showing off his new outfit from Aunt Sarah!!!! Thanks SARAH!!!!

Above is Logan with his sweet little Cousins sharing Snowcones. Logan is soooooo dirty! That's what being a boy is all about:) Below is Logan enjoying his movies on the way to Hoopfest! Thank goodness for portable DVD players.
Below is the kiddos trying to stay cool. These nice guys kepted giving them otter pops. They were so generous. Of course, who could resist this cute kids:)
I did have one photo Jason took of me on the way to Hoopfest. Don't you love my driving shades? LOL!
This is Logan sleeping on our LONG walk back to our car. He was so tired. But really, All of our kids did such a great job that day!!! We are all blessed with wonderful kiddos.

Hoopfest and Other Fun Summer Adventures!

This summer we have been trying to take Logan to the beach as much as Jason and I can possibly take him. He LOVES THE BEACH!! Daddy makes him sandcastles(there is a pic below) and Logan stomps on them. Totally makes it for a fun day!
While I cleaned houses the other day, Jason surprised me and cut Logan's hair. Now, usually he needs me because Logan FLIPS out with his hair gets cut. He hates the little hairs falling on him while daddy uses the shaver. This time to get Logan distracted, Jason drew a Ninja Turtle on a trashbag and let Logan color on it too. Amazing what will make a child happy:) His hair cut turned out perfect too:) Thanks Daddy!
This weekend 3 other families and our lil' family headed to Spokane WA for Hoopfest, a 3 0n 3 b-ball tourney! Michael and Sarah's fam, Reuben and Monica's fam, Ryan and Morgan's fam, and us. We had such a blast with everyone! As Sarah said, we felt like we just went away for the weekend with friends, not family! Thats how much we all love each other;):) Here is a pic of Reuben, Mike, and Jason. Ryan was there too but some how missed this pic.
We walked FOREVER trying to find our hubby's b-ball court. Hoopfest is the HUGE TOURNEY that shuts down all of down town Spokane and they make courts in parking lots and roads. After we finally found the court we let our kiddos rest up a little. Then right after our men's first game, we had a few hours to take all the cutie pies to a park and sweet Monica treated the kids to snowcones! Yummy! Especially since it was probably 97 degrees that day! Us coastal people aren't use to that;)Logan got to swim 3 days in a row, which he loves to do. He loves being in the water!!! We felt blessed that everyone shared their pools with us! We got a hotel that didn't have one! So thanks for sharing guys!!!! You made my little guys trip super special!
Sadly, I don't really have a picture of us lovely ladies. For one, we were always the ones behind the camera, I did get a cute one of Sarah but she may not have wanted me to put it on the website...she may know why, lol:) I will send the pic to you Sarah and see if I get approval;) And I don't know how I didn't get one picture of little Anni and Morgan. Next year I will need to be a better picture taker. Plus, I won't be 7 1/2 months prego....so...I may be more willing to be in some pictures, lol!
Here's a shot of Logan about ready to stomp on daddy's sand castles!!!

We had such a great time at hoopfest that we have already booked our hotel rooms for next year!!! Such a fun thing to look forward to again next year!!!!

Baby shower, Best friend, and Bubbly prego pics!

This weekend was super fun! A few of my AWESOME friends threw me a special baby shower! It really was such a fun time! I have such beautiful and entertaining, family and friends!!! Zoey got lots of wonderful gifts that I am super thankful for! I am for sure feeling way more ready now for this little girl!:) She is going to be dressed soooo darn cute with all the sweet little outfits I recieved;)

I had a wonderful time with my best friend Amybeth! She came down before the shower, and we got some much needed Amybeth and Krista bonding time! Of course, we never get enough anymore, having little ones but I cherish every bit that we get, because it doesnt happen very often!
Then our day ended with my sister in law Laurie taking some 7 month pregnancy pics! Jason and I wanted some good pics of us taken before little Zoey arrives...so Laurie was willing to take a few super sweet pics of us! Thanks Laurie!

Zoey's Nice

Yesterday morning, I came home from cleaning houses around noon. I came in and my boys were sitting in the livingroom waiting for me! Logan and I then showed Daddy that one of my friends dropped off a baby gift for Zoey! One of the gifts was a cute little stuffed animal that lights up and sings a lullaby. I let Logan cuddle it the night before and he continued to do so that morning. Daddy told Logan, "Logan, that was so nice of Zoey to let you play with her toy, wasn't it?" Logan replys, "Yes, daddy....Zoey's nice....Zoey's not mean....Zoey's not Venom!" The cutest thing ever!!! As you all know, Venom is the black spiderman with the long tongue who tries to hurt the good spiderman! Oh, my Logan....I just can't get enough of him.

Happy Daddy's Day!!

Tomorrow is a super special day! Tomorrow we celebrate Daddy’s Day! I for one know of TONS of special daddys out there but I want to write about TWO! Logan and I had fun making cards for his daddy and papa's last night!!! Gotta love finger painting!
First off…Happy Father’s day to my Daddy! I have been blessed with this amazingly Godly, Funny, Super COOL Daddy! My whole life I have been a daddys girl! Totally through and through! I have always had the most respect for my dad and have always wanted to please him! He taught me to mow the lawn, to weed eat, to LOVE the outdoors, to help my mom around the house, to love the Bible, to LOVE the Denver Broncos, To love my God with all my soul, heart, and being, to look for a husband who also Loves Jesus and wants to live for him daily, to realize the importance of being in God’s word daily(though I mess up on that), he taught me to love basketball, volleyball, softball, track, swimming,…shesh…exercise in general. Because of my daddy, I am a strong woman. I am not a wussy little thing that can’t do anything herself. He trained me up to be able to take care of myself but also to allow my husband to do that for me when I got married;) No matter what stupid things I did during my childhood, mainly my Junior year, my dad loved me…let me walk my road but taught me the whole way that Jesus’ way was the better way. He was right…..but he let me figure it out for myself. He let his faith, become my faith….on my own! Never forced it on me!! My Faith is my faith but my dad(and mom) established it in me at a wonderful young age! My dad is also the BESTEST Grandpa that I could ever ask for, for my Logy and will be for my little Zoey! He is always playing with Logan and making Logan feel soooooo special! Now, my mommy was a huge part of a lot of the above too, but I can’t imagine loving or enjoying my life with out my dad in it the last 26 years! He is AWESOME, as Logan would say;)

Now for my second and TOTALLY not second Happy Father’s Day! On July 24, 2004….I married my best friend!!! I loved him and adored him so much on that day!! I was so excited to become Jason David Motsinger’s wife that I could hardly control myself…but everyday since, I have fallen more and more in love with him! Especially the day that Jason became a daddy! Jason is a natural daddy!!!! He is for sure the FUN one of the parents!! He is always playing turtles with Logan, or Spiderman, or Transformers, or basketball, or just about anything…they are always playing together! I love that Jason takes the time to just sit and get to know Logan! What a neat daddy! Logan is totally a Jason…not only by how he looks but by everything he does….other then his stubborn side(he gets that from me sadly). Everyday Logan is more and more like Jason! Last night we were watching the Tigger Movie and Logan sat up to the end of the couch and said to me…. “rub my back mommy.” I said, “ok, little Jason,” Logan giggled! Jason ALWAYS asks me to scratch his back or rub it! It just cracked me up that yet another thing has popped up to remind me that Logan, is soooo his daddy’s;) To finish off my tribute to my Jason….the love of my life and the daddy of my babies…..I just wanted to say that I am honored to carry your little baby right now and I was honored to carry Logan for nine months! This journey of parenthood would be so much harder if I didn’t have you and I am so thankful for how easy you make it for me! I love you!!! Happy Father’s Daddy!!!
