Can I Press the PAUSE Button Please?????

The last few weeks have been wonderful. I can hardly believe that it is the middle of November. It feels like we just went trick or treating. Times just flies, doesn't it?? Last week Logan and I got to go on our very first DATE together:) I have had it planned for a long time. I was waiting for "Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs," to come to Tillamook. And it finally did. Logan and I climbed in the truck and got there super early. We were two of maybe 8 people in the whole theater and it was AWESOME. All the way home, Logan was giggling and telling me all about the movie. I just wanted to push Pause....I didn't want to leave the moment. My sweet lil four year old was so happy and was so excited and so darn cute over this little movie. I was in heaven. I sometimes just wish I could stay in this stage forever, especially that moment.
Peyton loves Grandma Debbie's Piano and often climbs and sits down to play while I clean. I hope she always loves it and maybe someday decides to play it on her own. Maybe Grandma Debbie can even teach her. How special would that be?
Jason and Logan FINALLY got the quarter out of CRV's cd player. Logan put it in there when he was 2...little stinker. He thought it was a piggy bank. :)
Peyton got to enjoy her first sucker after halloween. She has now had 2 and loves them.:) They are a VERY special occasion kind of thing. Logie of course, was being a silly boy as usual.
Thanks for stopping in:)

Giddy Excitement.

Once again, I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR. I especially can't wait for the Holidays to arrive. I am so excited to head out to Colorado for Thanksgiving and see all my family. I pulled out my favorite boots this week, got out some of my favorite sweaters, I have my Relient K Christmas and Casting Crowns Christmas Albums awaiting me on my itunes, and I can HARDLY WAIT to put up our FAKE TREE!:):) I normally would put it up the day after Thanksgiving, but I won't be home:) SO...I am hopping my Husband SUPRISES me and has it put up for my arrival home. Tomorrow night, Logan's awana group is showing the Veggies Tales movie, " Saint Nicholas, 'the story of joyful giving". I am sure this will put me even more in the Holiday spirit. I am sooo giddy....I just CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Operation Giving

I love being a part of things that are BIG and that make a difference in this life time. I want my kids to understand how important it is to give of ourselves as well...whether it be serving others or giving to others. Logan's Awana group is doing the program "Operation Christmas Child." Each family is sent home with a shoe box to fill with toys, soap, toothbrushes, tooth paste, etc. Logan was so excited to fill his up this morning! I hope you all can get in on the giving....whether its through "Operation Christmas Child," or something else. We are such blessed people to not pass it on to others.

A Passion of Mine

My Passion is...............Youth. Does that sound weird?? It may to you but I have ALWAYS loved young people. I went to Frontier School of the Bible and got my associates degree in Youth Ministry...not because I couldn't decided what I wanted to major in, but because frankly...I desire so much for Young people to come to Jesus Christ!! I am natural around these young adults, possibly because I am as immature as them, but more then that....I feel God has called me to work with them. To encourage them and get into their lives. Not as a parent, not as a teacher, but as a friend and youth leader. The first time I discovered this passion, was when I was 18 years old and my dad asked me to counsel at our Church Camp for a week. Now, granted, I also found out what an impatient person that I was that week, but these young people struck a cord in my heart....that I know God has given me.
I had one term left at FSB when I met my Husband Jason. The summer I started dating him, I was originally going to work at a Crisis Pregnancy Center, in Logan Utah. I was going to focus on these young teen moms that summer. God totally shut that door...I know now, because he had his hand in my meeting my man that summer. . Long story short....God has taken me on a long journey back to Youth ministry...Marriage and two beautiful babies....but watch out world....I am back...and I am ready for a HARDCORE wonderful year working with PCBC Youth Group and Awana.
