I Fuzzy Heart Awana

Logan officially completed his first year at Awana!! HE LOVED IT!!!!!!!! He made lots of new friends and learned so much about Jesus! His teacher told me he was the best one at memorizing memory verses and he was one of the youngest ones! He does have a wonderful memory and I am so happy it is full of God's word. During the closing program tonight, he was the only one to say his memory verse outloud! This mama was PROUD:) Logan will be a Cubby again next year because of his age, even though he keeps telling me he wants to be a Sparky;)

I am so thankful for these programs that open up to the preschool age! This age is sooooo important and they soak everything up like sponges. I will enjoy the break this summer but I can't wait for Logan to start up again next year!

Just a few thoughts

Some of these verses are talking to Elders and to young men but I can take SOOOO much out of them. Especailly as a wife and a mommy. I wanted to share them with you all and open my heart with you where God is really trying to change me lately, Boy do I have a long way to go.

This first verse is one that I just keep running through my head since I saw it on our church board on Sunday. Little does Maryanne know how much this verse would affect little old me this week. I am always trying so hard to better myself, my apperance, my home, my kiddos(even my hubby at times) but most of the time I miss the most important thing of all...my spiritual self. This should be my first area...ALWAYS. But yet, I struggle with making it my number one priority so much.

I hope these verses enrich you today as they have me.
Proverbs 31:30 " Charm is decietful, beauty is vain, but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

1 Peter 5: 3-11
3 Don't act as if you were a ruler over those who are under your care. Instead, be examples to the flock. 4 The Chief Shepherd will come again. Then you will receive the crown of glory. It is a crown that will never fade away.
5 Young men, follow the lead of those who are older. All of you, put on a spirit that is free of pride toward each other as if it were your clothes. Scripture says, "God opposes those who are proud. But he gives grace to those who are not." —(Proverbs 3:34) 6 So don't be proud. Put yourselves under God's mighty hand. Then he will honor you at the right time. 7 Turn all your worries over to him. He cares about you.
8 Control yourselves. Be on your guard. Your enemy the devil is like a roaring lion. He prowls around looking for someone to chew up and swallow. 9 Stand up to him. Stand firm in what you believe. All over the world you know that your brothers and sisters are going through the same kind of suffering.
10 God always gives you all the grace you need. So you will only have to suffer for a little while. Then God himself will build you up again. He will make you strong and steady. And he has chosen you to share in his eternal glory because you belong to Christ.
11 Give him the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Living it up at the beach

We had a super fun Sunday in PC last week! The weather was beautiful so we went to the beach!!

The wind was super cold but we found our little hide out and stayed nice and warm! We saw lots of star fish and Logan kept proclaiming, "It's Patrick." (sponge bob's buddy) Zach is back in Oregon and we are ENJOYING having him home! He is so wonderful with Logan! They are such buddies!!!
Zach and Logan wrestle and play around a lot. Today Logan has his Spiderman outfit on and he tells me, "Zach can't take me now."

Our indoor Playground

Living in Tillamook Oregon is Beautiful!! We are green pretty much ALL year round. I always love flying back into Oregon after being out of state and looking down at the Gorgeous lush green fields. I traveled home from Wyoming a few times with friends and they always told me they felt that when hitting the Portland area all the way to the coast, that they were in a different world because of all the green. One of my friends met her husband and now lives here in Oregon. It has a way of attaching you to itself. With all those wonderful things said, in order to get that beauty...we endure that lovely rain! So...we have to find ways to entertain ourselves on those rainy days. Jason and I got Logan this neat indoor tunnel/tent set for his 2nd Birthday and the lame parents we are, heehee, we just set it up for the first time today(Logan is 3 1/2). He did play with the tunnels off and on over the last year but they house part of the tent intemidated me..........THANK YOU JASON FOR FIGURING IT OUT:) Logan was in totally heaven today.
Then, we adopted a new little exercise machine! Which I am in LOVE WITH! I am such a big fan of this machine!!! Already used it every day that I have had it:):):)
Hopefully our spring/summer weather will arrive soon so we can go outside and get our exercise but for now, we will be entertained:)
Logan is Really good at this! He tells me, "I am going to exercise mommy." Very seriously I must add.

Isn't this so cool? We got it at Costco for like 40 bucks.

These two kids play so well together. Peyton laughs he head off at Logan..just when he enters the tent. It is so cute how much she loves her brother.

Peyton was worn out after her busy first Easter egg hunt.

Logan and his buddy Riley Armstrong.

Logan LOVED LOVED LOVED spraying the fire hose at the little building. He did a cute dance afterwards...so the guys let him do it one more time, just so they could see his dance.

Logan and his buddy Kate were practicing for hours to prepare for the up coming Easter Egg hunts;)

Logan and Daddy enjoyed a five minute ride on the Go-Karts next to Mainstreet! SUCH a blast!!!!

Now our family looks forward to the true celebration of Easter tomorrow! HE IS RISEN!!!! Praise HIM!:)

Ding it....

Logan and I were taking our popcans to Fred Meyer the other day for extra money towards our easter egg decorating kit. While we were at Freddy's he saw a squirt gun he really wants. SO I told him that we could ask Bus Papa for his and gramm's popcans so that he could get that gun with it.
Well, we went to the beach on Sunday instead of to Gramm's and on our way home Logan says, "Oh, Ding it...we forgot Papa's popcans." (Priceless)
Then on our way down to Awana's yesterday, we drove by Auntie Rechelle's boyfriend's house. Rechelle's smoking hot new Mustang was parked outside and Logan says, "Hey mom...there's Shell's new mustache."
Heehee...I love listening to a 3 year old talk:)
